The Commentary Team

The Palace Radio Commentary Team

Craig Barnes and Eamonn Marren, commentators extraordinaire - like the greatest poets they paint you a verbal picture of the match action.

Meet Your Match

Fixture Focus: Keith Jeffcoat

With less than 90 minutes until kick-off it is time for the serious football chat. Call, text and e-mail your views and line-ups for the day's action and find out first who Peter Taylor has selected to start for Crystal Palace FC.

James O'Reilly and Trevor Hayes present Fixture Focus, with stat's and opinion from Keith Jeffcoat, and roving reporter Don Madgwick gets the views of your fellow fans as they arrive at Selhurst Park.

Your Shout

Your Shout hosted by Clive Bowden & Nick Macdonald

Does exactly what it says on the tin - a whole hour of post match reaction dedicated to Crystal Palace FC.

It is your views that make this show so call, text and e-mail and join in the ever lively debate with Nick Macdonald and Clive Bowden.

Plus hear exclusive live coverage of the post match managers' press conference and player reaction to the day's result.

Wibbly Wobbly World

Wibbly Wobbly World: Bill & Chris

Bill & Chris join up with Milky and his Mobsters, Barry The Cab, and Dave from Ladbrokes for their own 90 minutes of chaos on 1278am.

This year the boys are raising money for the NSPCC. If you visit Selhurst Park on a match day you can donate via the collection tins at the Ladbrokes stands!

Late & Lazy Breakfast Show / Drive Time

Late & Lazy Breakfast Show: Nigel Wearing

Nigel Wearing and his harem wake you up with an original blend of new and classic tunes, special guests and the latest news, sport and gossip from around the globe.

The Breakfast Show is the perfect place to have a song dedicated to you or a friend; we are experts at birthday requests too.

Following listener feedback we have now stopped the Animal Obituaries feature.

Back Stage Area

Jeremy Charlton Relaxes After Another Long Day At Selhurst Park

Palace Radio couldn't broadcast without a few extra special people working incredibly hard behind the scenes.

Station Engineer, Trevor Smith makes everything work using just coat hangers, sticky backed plastic and the odd empty toilet roll tube.

Jerry Clark Interviews Simon Jordan

Station Manager, Jerry Clark begs, steals and borrows to get Trevor his bits and bobs, says nice things to our sponsors, and tries to make sure everybody arrives on time for their shows.

And a special mention to the team comprising Dave Earl, Paul Hilton, and Doug Gemmell who "drive" the shows for our presenters and allow them to concentrate on the fun job of presenting live radio at the football club they love!

Former Stars of 1278am

Good Morning Selhurst: Terry Byfield & Dave Comley

Terry Byfield & Dave Comley (pictured right) past presenters of Good Morning Selhurst, and for evening matches Good Afternoon Selhurst (aptly abbreviated to G.A.S.) sent music, news and regular star interviews cascading from SE25.

Former Palace Radio presenter Peter Carter even landed himself a top presenting job on Spanish station CCFM. Peter used to work alongside Terry Byfield presenting one of the post match shows.

Peter Carter in action for Palace Radio

When asked about his radio career Peter said of his time at Palace Radio "If it wasn't for Nigel, Jerry and the team, I'd never have had the experience or guts to do this, Palace Radio have launched a star on the Costa!"

Everyone at Palace Radio wishes Peter the best of luck, and we hope to catch up with him during the course of the 2007-08 season!
